Debuchy’s injury equals a huge blow for Wenger
Arsenal’s summer signing Mathieu Debuchy is expected to be sidelined for up to three months after an injury occurring against Manchester City last week.
The 29 year old right back slipped awkwardly on his ankle ligaments, forcing him to to be carried off immediately late on in the match.
Yesterday, the French international undergone surgery and the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger commented on the injuries impact to the club, “The operation went well; however, his (Debuchy’s) absence is a huge blow to the club.”
The former Newcastle and Lille defender signed for the gunners in the summer after a largely impressive, one and only campaign in the Tyneside city.
The marauding full back made his debut in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City at Wembley. He followed that up with six outings, one of these appearances a second half sending off against Beskitas in the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Debuchy is out for three months after surgery niggle. Just like his friend Giroud. Do they have other friends in the squad? I hope not.

Debuchy and Giroud now out until Christmas. Why always us?

Arsene Wenger's gamble not to recruit another defender may backfire news is Mathieu Debuchy is likely to be out for at least two months.
