Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has insisted that despite wrapping up the Scottish Championship title with seven matches to spare his side won't get over excited.
“I think we still have to be realistic,” Neilson told BBC Scotland.
“We're a Championship team that's gained promotion to the top flight and we're not going to start shouting our mouths off.”
It's taken the Gorgie just a sole season to fight their way back to the top tier of Scottish football, having been relegated following a points reduction due to the clubs financial state.
At the end of last seasons campaign a major rebuilding job was done, seeing Neilson replace the popular Gary Locke and former Scotland manager Craig Levein appointed as Director of Football.
Under Robbie Neilson the Jambos have recorded just one defeat in twenty-nine matches and the former defender suggests a lot of their success comes down to an ever-growing unity within Tynecastle.
“It's not been one individual or one group, it's been a real group effort to get the club back to where it belongs.
Neilson added, “The first game of the season we went to Ibrox, we went a goal ahead, then we lost a goal in injury time. Previously when I've been to Ibrox I know what it's like, you just think 'let's just get out of here with a draw' and you worry about losing another goal. But, the players went right up the park and scored another goal.”
Despite such a convincing league campaign and real consistency shown throughout, the manager manager suggests that much hard work is needed for the Jambos to become a real force throughout Scottish football again.
“There'll be no over celebrating. We have to keep the momentum going and carry it right through to the end of the season and then it'll carry us through to the start of next season.”
