Dundee United 2014/15 Homes & Away Kit
Dundee United home and away kit 2014-15 On the 29th of April Scottish Premiership side Dundee United revealed their strip for the upcoming season. The club also announced that they would wear the stylish strip for their Scottish Cup Final that was played on the 17th of May.
Over the years Dundee United have produced some of the most intricate and easy on the eye strip designs in Britain. This seasons is no different with the colourful orange dominated strip revealing a dip of black covering the shoulders is a very modern and distinctive kit that looked brilliant worn by their 30 thousand fans and team that appeared at Celtic Park on May the 17th.
The bottom of the shirt is once again a pleasant tangerine colour. As you move up the shirt there is a 1inch V strip of black that expands up to the inside arm. Above the black strip is another 2 inches of orange before a black V shaped line is continued up to the neck of the shirt and around the shoulders and arms.
The shorts are all black with the Nike and Dundee United crest on separate parts of where the thigh would be.
Like the shirt the socks are also mostly orange with the black V line appearing on the top of the socks as well.
Once again both kits are supplied by Nike and sponsored by gas and heating company Calor.
On the 17th of April Dundee United also released what would be their away strip for the 2015-15 season would be. The predominantly black strip unlike the home kit is very retro, almost looking like a Scottish rugby top from the 90’s. The body of the shirt is all black with just a white collar and edge of sleeves being white. Instead of the orange and black Dundee United crest this time it is a black and white colour to fit in with the dark theme.
The shorts are the same as the home shorts only all white with the black logo and text.
The socks are a Newcastle United striped pattern stopping at the ankle, with the Nike logo in the middle of the thick striped socks.
I thought that last season both kits were really nice and would be hard to match for this season. I really like how after 5 years of plain white away kits Dundee United have gone back to their original home colour of black and white. The home strip is also very nice and looks good when a big crowd is wearing it.
The kit is available to buy from the official club shop or through their official on-line store www.tangerine-clubshop.co.uk
