Malky Mackay has today apologised for the controversial messages that he sent ex- bluebird colleague Iain Moody.
Mackay sent to Moody, “He’s a snake, a gay snake. Not to be trusted,” referring to an official at another club.
“Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering.” about a potential signing.
Mackay also sent, “Go on, fat Phil. Nothing like a Jew that sees money slipping through his fingers.”
The former Cardiff bossed reportedly sent these disrespectful messages regarding officials at other clubs, a potential signing and football agent Phil Smith.
Mackay aged 42, has suggested that these messages were sent as “friendly message banter”, between him and Moody.
The pair (Mackay and Moody) were sacked by Cardiff City last season and the Welsh club have sent a dossier to the Football Association alleging misconduct.
The LMA have admitted that they have searched through over 10,000 private messages between the pair and found two that in hindsight were very disrespectful of other cultures.
Moody yesterday resigned from his post as the sporting director at Crystal Palace and has yet to comment on the allegations. He was sacked by Cardiff owner Vincent Tan after a heated row over transfer activity.
Mackay has announced that he is very concerned about these misleading accusations that could potentially put his managerial career on hold for a fair amount of years.
